The design was intended to reflect the band's values of honesty and authenticity, with their indie roots in care-free adventure and travel. The use of grain and imperfect elements throughout the artwork mirrors the essence of the band's influences in their songs. The use of contrasting media on the album cover (e.g., realist photograph and illustration), and unusual imagery (i.e. cat on a sofa on the beach) keeps the listener guessing about their new music, and like their lyrics, encourages questioning, thinking and feeling.
